Conversational setup

Start from the install selector. Choose Windows, Linux or Apple silicon and copy the complete command. It creates a dedicated environment, installs memstrata-conversational==0.7.12, checks the version, then runs init.

1. Confirm Python 3.10 or newer is installed.
2. Run the copied command in PowerShell on Windows, or Terminal on Linux and macOS.
3. Add one source you can inspect: a chat export, a note, or a PDF.
4. Ask a question, then open the selected evidence.

Nomic helps find text. Tesseract reads scans. Your selected reader writes the answer from the chosen evidence. Optional ColQwen2 and ColFlor select pages; they are not the final answer.

GPU detection is separate from installing a compatible runtime. Visual compute and the Ollama reader use separate settings.
